Introduction of Cau Giay district Hanoi - a place to live

Being the important connecting area between key districts of fastest-growing districts, Cau Giay district is emerging as a favourite location of Hanoians, which is choosed as an ideal home in Hanoi because it is not too cramped or as expensive  as the central area but Cau Giay has the most completed social infrastructure system in Hanoi.

Location of Cau Giay District

With total area of 12,04 km2 including 8 subordinate wards, the population is about 250.000 people. Cau Giay District is situated at the central area of  Hanoi, bordering Dong Da, Ba Dinh, Thanh Xuan, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem districts.

Cau Giay district is rich cultural land and the cradle of many traditional villages such as Paper village, Gian village (insence), Vong village is famous for “cốm” and Buoi village has silk weaving, embroidery and paper making.

Cau Giay’s transport infrastructure

Playing an important role in Hanoi so Cau Giay’s transport infrastructure has been basically completed. Three artery routes is Cau Giay – Xuan Thuy – Ho Tung Mau, which is connected with the Highway 23rd, Tran Duy Hung Street connects the central area with Thang Long Avenue, Pham Van Dong Streets is connected with the 3rd Ring Road. Besides that, Tran Thai Tong – Nguyen Phong  Sac, Hoang Quoc Viet, Nguyen Van Huyen are big and modern routes.

However, as connecting areas, the traffic in these routes is always overload.

The scence of people live side by side all crammed on top of each other with chaos and noise on routes such as Xuan Thuy – Cau Giay, Tran Duy Hung, Le Van Luong…still frequently happens in the rush hour.

Facing this traffic issue of Cau Giay District in particular and Hanoi in general, the government decided to invest in the overhead urban railway system.

Of which, the route Nhon – Hanoi station is about 12.5 km, which runs along the route Ho Tung Mau – Xuan Thuy – Cau Giay – Hanoi station with the total investment up to 1.2 billion euro.

This project is included in Master Transport Plan for 2030, with a vision to 2050 and approved by the Prime Minister.

Currently, this railway is being under construction and expected to be finished in the late of 2018.

Education system in Cau Giay district

It can be said that Cau Giay district has the largest quantity of public and non-public schools in Hanoi, this is considered as a factor that makes the real estate propeties in this are more atractive than other areas.

Specifically, Cau Giay district has 17 primary schools, 19 middle schools and 11 high schools.  This area is not only famous for the numerical superiority but the quality of schools is also highly appreciated.

More than a half of schools in this district meet the 1st national standard. Of which, there are many schools that have established their strong names suc as Hanoi Amsterdam, Nguyen Sieu High School, Luong The Vinh School, Nghia Tan Primary School, Cau Giay Secondary School…

Entertainment and shopping centers

Cau Giay is highly appreciated for community service projects with 2 large parks are Nghia Do and Cau Giay Park. Those are considered as an ideal place for Hanoians on weekends or holidays. Both of them are opened for public with many amenities such as playground for kids, lake area, green trees.

Besides that, there is Vietnam Museum of Ethnology within Cau Giay District, which preserves and exhibits the collections of the 54 ethnic communities in Vietnam and this is an ideal tourism atraction of Hanoians.

People who want to enjoy a quiet and peaceful enviroment could visit Ha Pagoga. This is an ancient pagoda located in Dich Vong Ward. This is considered as a famous favorable place to pray for love with hundred-years history.

Cau Giay district is quite convenient for shopping with many local markets and shopping malls such as Big C Thang Long, Indochina Plaza, Xanh market, Nghia Tan market…

Hospital system

There are 2 large hospitals in Cau Giay District are 19-8 Hospital Ministry of Public Security and E Hospital.

19-8 Hospital is the first ranking general hospital under the Ministry of Public Security with 600 beds with 41 departments and divisions, nearly 1000 officers, soldiers, civilian employees. This hospital takes responsibility for  medical examination and treatment for police officers, policeman, insurance subjects and people, public healthcare, scientific research, line management, international duty and other tasks assigned by leader of Ministry of Public Security, General Department of Logistics – Techniques.

E hospital is situated in Tran Cung Street, this National General Hospital were established in 1967 under the Ministry of Health. Until now, this hospital has been developed into a general hospital with 390 beds and 36 departments, which are responsible for medical examination and treatment, scientific research, staff training, international coopertation, line management and health economic management.

In addition, there is Hanoi American International Hospital in Nghia Tan area invested by Keystone Invest (USA) with total investment up to more than 1.000 billions VND.

This is a big-scale project with 300 beds and modernly designed with expectation to become a 5 star standard hospital, catering to the demand for medical treatment of Hanoi residents, Contributing to reducing the burden on national hospitals.

However, since the investment has been granted in 1997, this project is still unfinished yet, although the raw material has been substantially completed.

High-class apartment projects in Cau Giay district

There are many high-rise projects in the west of Hanoi with thousand of apartments for rent in Cau Giay are forming, creating a modern urban apprearance, plus the push of the transportinfrastructure is gradually completed, making Cau Giau into the most desirable location of the inhabitants.

With the infrastructure system has been well invested, the west area of Hanoi is becoming a focus of especial attention of investors, who live in Hanoi and other nothern provinces as well.
